NO COOLING - - - SAY WHAT ??

Things to watch or listen for when running your Air Conditioning.  Sometimes when the system is not running or cooling properly it may be pretty obvious but then others issues may require the services of a licensed and trained Service Technician.  Make sure you have the issues addressed ASAP or you may experience a complete breakdown at the "worst time...aka...hottest day of the year" !

UNUSUAL NOISES:

A screeching sound may indicate the belt has become loose, or a metal part needs lubricating or secured.  A grating noise might mean bearings in the motor needs replaced.  Banging noise could imply crack in the fan blade or it is coming loose.

LACK OF COOL AIR:
If your system is not cooling, you may have a problem with the compressor or possiblity of refrigerant levels may be low which can leave your HVAC not cooling. 

LEAKING:

If your AC system is leaking refrigerant, this is a serious issue and should be repaired immediatly.  Letting this issue go for several days may cause deeper damage in the system.  Plus refrigerant is harmful to our health.

ICE and/or FROST:

You may notice "ice or frost" on the coils (inside or outside) which is a sign of loss of refrigerant or the possibility of a restriction.  This will cause improper operation as well as high utility bills.

TEMPERATURE VARIANCE:

If you notice one room is extremely cold while another is warm.....couple of issues could be at stake.  Thermosat may have issues or ductwork in areas may be down or zone dampers may be inoperable.
