Cherie was raised in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee with her Dad, Mom and her 6 siblings—yes there were 8 of them. Cherie graduated Soddy Daisy High School and then was an employee at Provident Insurance in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Cherie loved to play softball for Provident where she won many trophies, was awarded Best Shortstop, and Player of the Year. At an young age was the first woman inducted into the Chattanooga “Old Timers” Softball Association. Cherie left Provident to begin work at TVA Sequoyah Construction Plant where she sported a hard hat, boots, driving a straight shift truck in the mud all over the plant and was affectionately known as “secretary” to the hanger group men. Cherie then moved to the chemistry department of the Sequoyah training center and left her employment to have her first child.

Married to her best friend, Timothy Gentry in 1979 and moved to Dayton, Tennessee where they raised their two children. After homeschooling, both her children also obtain their degrees at Bryan College - Dayton, Tn.

Her daughter Mindy married Scott and they have 3 sons.  Her son, Taylor married Amanda and they have 2 precious German Shepherds - Chaco & Radar.  She loves to spoil her grandchildren and grand dogs and they know it! If you barely mention those grand babies prepare yourself for stories and pictures.

1985, Cherie and Timothy bought an existing HVAC company—changed the name to UNITED SERVICE COMPANY —thus her life as a HVAC wife began. They then merged United Service with RHEACO Service in 2001 and are now the owners of RHEACO SERVICE.

God has truly blessed the business, the employees and their families. Cherie is the familiar voice that you may have heard for years when calling for service. She has made relationships upon relationships with people over the years. Many of you know all about her family and kids and she knows all about yours. Cherie is just a phone call away, she is truly honored to serve YOU our customers.
